Assistant Librarian (Cooper Archives)
Katie Blumenkrantz works as both an archivist in the Cooper Union Archives and Special Collection as well as a reference librarian in the Cooper Union Library.
She began her academic work in New York City at the Fashion Institute of Technology, receiving an Associates of Applied Science in Jewelry Design/Jewelry Making. She continued her studies at Hunter College, earning a Bachelors of Art in Art History, and finally at Pratt Institute, earning a Masters in Information and Library Science with an Advanced Certificate in Archives.
Katie has designed, installed, and curated numerous exhibitions from the Archival collection, including, "Letters of Everyday Life: The Cooper Family Papers." Additionally, she has been involved in obtaining and processing new collections -- growing the Cooper Union Archives into a principal resource for the Cooper Union community.
