Librarian - Part Time

Job Classification: Staff - Union

Length of Appointment:           
20 hrs per wk, Monday-Thursday
September to May; 10 hrs per wk, June to August


  • Performs Reference services approximately 3 hours each day, except for one day when the librarian will cover Reference during the evening shift, from 5-9PM                       
  • Maintains and updates listings of serials holdings in the online catalog (Ex Libris Aleph)
  • Enters and updates listings of Government Documents in the online catalog
  • Maintains and updates lthe library's SFX database
  • Assists with other Library activities and projects as assigned


  • MLS from an ALA-accredited institution
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Sci/Tech library experience or undergraduate degree is desireable
  • Familiarity with editing ILS holdings is desireable
  • Familiarity with SFX a plus
